Christian has lived in the Austin area for five years and his biggest passion has always been animals. He has lived overseas in Germany, Italy, and Greece where he worked alongside several animal rescue groups. The majority of his experience evolved around dogs and he has been training dogs for the past ten years. Christian believes his greatest accomplishment has been the rescue and rehabilitation of dogs with behavioral issues who were scheduled to be euthanized. He holds certifications in animal behavior and dog training from Germany and is currently enrolled in an animal behavioral college. Christian owns three dogs named Freya, Dude, and Jack. He has had dogs, fish, birds, and has taken care several family pets such as cats, guinea pigs, and chickens. Christian is extremely excited to join the Your Helping Paws Family!
Dawn has been loving and caring for fur babies for over 25 years, including pet rabbits and cats as well as some hamsters and toads too! She reports that she is currently owned by 3 cats, one of which requires special medical care. Dawn has rescued and fostered several rabbits with HRRN (House Rabbit Resource Network) where she also volunteered, and she has been a volunteer with the Austin Guinea Pig Rescue for over 10 years.
Dawn has a wealth of experience providing special needs care to pets, including insulin, chemo, tube feedings and so on. She covers Round Rock and the surrounding area. We are so proud to have her as part of the Paws family!
Sarah is another homegrown Austinite, born and raised. As a child she spent summers on the farm chasing chickens and playing 'King of the Mountain' with the goats. She has also owned or fostered dozens of cats and dogs, of all sizes and temperaments, as well as birds, gerbils, hamsters, sugar gliders, a hedgehog and fish. As a stay-at-home mom she has been blessed to spend the last fifteen years nurturing her babies but with all of them in school she is excited to share her love with your (fur)babies!
Alea became part of the Paws family several years ago when her family hired us to care for their 8 week old Great Dane puppy named Stella Blue. Alea is college student enrolled at Texas State University. She grew up in a household surrounded by animals (2 Golden Retrievers, a Great Dane, and an Australian Labradoodle) and was deemed "The Beastmaster” at 5 yrs of age because of her uncanny ability to wrap any pet around her little finger. Alea recently moved into her own apartment and became the owner of a lovely rescue kitty named Natalia, but still goes home to care for her parents ultra spoiled Great Dane and terribly adorable Doodle.
Elle moved to Austin in 2018. After having to leave her family dogs with her parents, she has recently gotten her own dog, Ellis. She grew up with animals and lived on a farm when she was younger, so you could say taking care of animals is in her blood. She is so excited to take care of your fur babies!
